Cambodia Dirt Bike Angkor to the Coast 6 Days / 5 Nights

Trip Profile:
This Cambodia Dirt Bike trip Angkor to the coast is suitable for all level of riders starting. It also covers the most interesting ride to the Indina Jones temple of Beng Mealea with all kind of road, pot holes, sands, mud, through the villages, the riced field. Then we take the taxi to visit Phnom Penh capital, another option will be by boat along Tonle Sap lake when the boat is available in the rainy season. Visit the Phnom Penh bustling capital to learn the recent horrible hostory of Cambodia before heading to Kep on the bike again. Kep is the quiet, peaceful and charming beach.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Angkor Temple Complex (35km)
Cambodia Dirt Bike
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we explore the temples in Angkor Complex by motorbike on the back road. After getting our Angor pass at the check point, we visit the jungle temple of Ta Phrom, Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, Takeo, Chao Say Tevoda, Tommanon. We ride on the single trails to visit the former capital of Angkor Thom including Bayon, Baphoun, Phimean Akas, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of Leaper King. Afternoon, we extensively visit Angkor Wat, the 7th Wonder of the World and sunset view. Overnight in Siem Reap.


Cambodia_Dirt_Bike_GuideDay 2: Beng Mealea (120km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we ride on the back road through the countryside and the village to visit Beng Mealea temple. This trip will make special as we can escape from the crowded tourists in Angkor complex. After taking 20 to 25km on mixed of back road and dirt road, we arrive at the foot of Phnom Bok for water stop. Then, continue to abandoned temple Chay Srey Vibol temple built around 1100A.D. After the break, we take the trip to Beng Mealea via Wat Preah Bat 4 Than. The last part of the road is sealed but quiet. Visit Beng Mealea temple hidden in the jungle surrounded by its mood 900 meters by 1,200 meters. Beng Mealea is a beautiful, charming temple. It has it own character which cannot be found in any other temple. We can feel very peaceful sitting inside the temple as we can get rid of the many tourists at Angkor area.


Day 3: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh by private taxi

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Phnom Penh by private aircon taxi. The journey takes 5 hours but we stop half way for the rest room and relax in Kampong Thom town. There are two interesting things to see on the on the road including the 1000 year old Naga bridge, the fried spiders in Skun town. This place is mentioned in the Lonely Planet where local people catch the spiders from the nearby rice fields. They deep fry the spiders and sell them to both local people and tourists. Arrive in Phnom Penh and check in at the hotel. Afternoon, visit Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and National Museum.

cambodia_beach_tourDay 4: Phnom Penh to Kep (172km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Toul Sleng Genocide Museum known as S21 and Cheung Ek Killing Fields. Then continue to ride on back road and get into small dirt road. Today we ride 70 to 80% off road with nice and easy to see real Cambodia in the countryside, through the villages and the rice fields. We stop to visit Ta Phrom temple, the 12th century temple located in Tonle Bati and the hilltop Phnom Chisor temple built in 11th century. The panaromic view on the hill top is great with the landscape. After lunch, we ride on another dirt road to enjoy the lake view and the countryside before arriving at quiet town Kep. Overnight in Kep.

Day 5: Kep – Rabbit Island – Phnom Penh
After breakfast. We spend the day to relax and swim at the beach and enjoy seafood before returning back to Phnom Penh. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 6: Phnom Penh – Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day until transfer to the airport for departure flight.

Road Surface

This tour mostly follows mixed of dirt road, passing the countryside and the rice field. The back road along the village is small but enjoyable for motorbike, less busy.

Staff

Groups of 6 or more, a Dirt Bike Tour Leader, plus one bike mechanic. Groups below 5 will be led by our local dirt bike guide who is also good at mechanic.
