This Siem Reap Weekend Cycling is to promote the cycling among the community in Siem Reap where we meet every Sunday and enjoy the cycling through the villages to see REAL Cambodia and the jungle trails around Angkor Archeological Park. Our Cambodia Cycling team have selected all the best cycling routes for this weekend cycling. We aim also to make our community healthy and it is also a mean of socializing where local people meet with expat and
foreign tourists. This weekend cycling is also one of the best team building activity for the company and organizations in Siem Reap (hotels, restaurants, banks, tour company ...) and we will place their logos and link free of charge on our website.
Tour Itinerary:
07h30: Meet at Siem Reap Art Center for bike fitting and tour briefting. Today we cycle toward Wat Kork Chork and Krabei Real village to see REAL countryside of Cambodia. We make the water stop at the Khmer boxing Lokator center where young Cambodian practise the traditional martial arts. Then we cycle to Western Barray, the ancient man made water reserve where there is a chance of group photo and enjoy the view of the Barray. After water stop, we cycle to Wat Svay Romeat, and cycle along the jungle trail toward Western Gate of Angkor Thom where Angelina Jolie jumped out of the gate in the Tomb Raider. Then we cycle on the gate of the Angkor Thom to get the view of fresh air and get down to have lunch in front of Angkor Wat.
For people who signed up for Half Day ride will cycle 7km on road to Siem Reap town. For people who signed up for Full Day will continue cycling in the jungle trail passing the eastern gate of Angkor Wat and enjoy the trail cycling to Ta Phrom temple embraced by giant fig trees. The temple was built in 12th century by The King Jayavarman VII. There are many chance for photos and we continue cycling to the water dam built by the French. We walk on the bridge to cross the Siem Reap river and then we cycle to Eastern Gate of Preah Khan temple, the second biggest temple in Angkor complex. Preah Khan temple means sacret sword was also built by The King Jayavarman VII in 12th centery. We stop for final group photo with the barray and flooded woods in the background. Finally we cycle the last section of the jungle trail passing the gate of the temple to the main road. Return back to Siem Reap. Tour Ends.
