THAIAND AND CAMBODIA TOURS 12 DAYS / 11 NIGHTS

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Bangkok (D)
Bangkok Met on arrival at Bangkok international Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can settle in and relax. Evening dinner and drinks at the hotel to get to know each other.

Day 2 Bangkok (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel. The following day we visit the Royal Palace, the Wats, enjoy the many markets and take a boat ride along the Chao Phraya River evening free for your own leisure.

Day 3: Chiang Mai (B/L)
On arrival into Chang Mai check into your hotel and enjoy the morning relaxing. After lunch visit the stunning Doi Suthep temple on the mountain top. Here you can see stunning views of Chang Mai below. Return to the hotel and the evening is free to roam the city and its bustling night markets.

Day 4: Trekking around Chiang Mai (B/L/D)
Drive from Chang Mai for about two hours towards Chiang Dao where we visit the Chiang Dao Caves before having lunch. Continue for about another hour to an Akha village where we start a three hour moderate trek before arriving and spending the night in a Palong Village. Accommodation will be in a Homestay in a hilltribe house.

Day 5: Trekking around Chiang Mai (B/L)
After breakfast ride out of the village on elephants for about an hour before continuing on foot for half an hour till reaching the road where transport will take you to the river where we have a picnic lunch.
After lunch we board our bamboo rafts taking us downstream along the Ping River for about an hour before meeting up with our transport and returning to Chang Mai.

Day 6: Chiang Mai – Khao Sok National Park (B/L/D)
Take the morning flight from Chang Mai to Surat Thani with a connection in Bangkok and onward to Khao Sok National Park.
Khao Sok National Park In Southern Thailand is covered by the oldest evergreen rainforest in the world, there are huge limestone mountains, deep valleys, breathtaking lakes, caves and a variety of wild animals. Transfer to Takuapa where you will explore the mangroves by speedboat to see local fishermen, birds and even walking fish. Board our classical Burmese junk for lunch and cruise slowly along the coast. Arrive to a deserted island for swimming kayaking and relax on the empty beach. Transfer inland to Khao Sok spend the night at the park.

Day 7: Khao Sok National Park  (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we head to our Elephant camp to discover the wonders of these creatures which are revered in Thai culture. Here you have two choices, either to stay at the camp, either to help the handlers with feeding and bathing the elephants,this will be a hands on activity, or take a fantastic Elephant Trek with a professional mahout through the jungle (Please specify at the time of booking) . Lunch will be taken at the camp followed by canoeing along the Sok river, before return to our hotel.

Day 8: Khao Sok National Park - Bangkok (B)
Wake up to the sounds of the birds and the smells of nature, enjoy your morning breakfast before taking a trek through the jungle to discover nature at first hand with our experienced guides. They will inform you of all the flora and fauna and creatures which live and thrive here in abundance, weather permitting, our lunch will be served in the traditional cooked way of using bamboo, before heading back to our hotel to check out to leave for Bangkok.

Day 9: Bangkok – Siem Reap:

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by mini-van to Siem Reap via Aranyaprathet border. From Bangkok to Poi Pet border in Aranyaprathet takes 4 hours and from the border to Siem Reap take 2 hours on 150km road. The road is very good now. At the border, you can get Cambodian visa. It costs USD20 per person, please take 1 photo passport size. Arrive in Siem Reap. Check in at the hotel.

Day 10
: Siem Reap-Angkor (25km by bicycle)
Depart from the hotel on the main road and cycling through Angkor pass check point. Cycling through the shady road with a little pumping because of the a few pot-holes. There you will begin to see Kravan temple, Banteay Kdei, and stop at the famous Ta Phrom, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Visit Ta Phrom (45 minutes-1 hour). It was built in 12th century by the famous King Jayavarvan VII indicated to his mother. While clearing back the forest archaeologists decided to leave the vegetation of Ta Phrom in place to serve as a reminder of how the original discoverers found it and the other Angkor temples. Many of the trees have grown around and through the remains and soar high above the temples. Continue the cycling through small circuit passing Ta Keo temple, Chao Say Tevoda, Tommanon before reaching to Angkor Thom city. There you will see, Terrace of Leper King, Terrace of Elephant, Baphoun, Phimean Akas. Stop at Bayon temple and start the visit (45 minutes-1 hour). Angkor Thom built by Cambodia's great king, Jayavarman VII. Overnight in Siem Reap. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Full Day Trekking Temple & Mountain (Walking 12km) Soft Adventure
07h00am: Meet with your guide. Transfer from the hotel to the foot of Kulen Mountain which takes 50 minutes. On arrival, get water in the cool box. Begin walking up the hill. The first 2km is uphill and rocky. After the 2km, the path is more flat. Water stop at Km2. Visit the River of Thousand Lingas lying under the river bed, people believe it brings fertility and blessing Angkor area as the river flows from Kulen to Siem Reap. Walk 700meters to visit the Grand Reclining Buddha. Kulen mountain remains the sacred place local people believes. From the Grand Reclining Buddha, walk another 500 meters to the water fall, where we enjoy swimming the 30 meters high water fall.

After lunch, transfer to Beng Mealea temple. Beng Mealea is an untouched temple hidden in the jungle surrounded by its mood 900 meters by 1,200 meters. Beng Mealea is a beautiful, charming temple. It has it own character which cannot be found in any other temple. We can feel very peaceful sitting inside the temple as we can get rid of the many tourists at Angkor area. Late afternoon, transfer back to the hotel.

Day 12: Siem Reap – Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Free until transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
